STUDIO 1019

This is a gallery I’m setting up… dedicated to this amazing building that was built to be a recording studio, and has an amazing history. I was lucky enough to work there to experience this studio, so I’d like to share that experience the best I can.

STUDIO 1019

This building, was built by Yamaha in 1980. After that it had been bought and sold a number of times and was known as various recording studio names over time. It has a rich History, and has always been known only by its occupant’s so I decided to refer to it by the name “Studio 1019” so it would have a name of it’s own.

I am also working on a 3D model of the studio. The goal is to be able to go on a virtual tour, and incorporate photos.

I’ll be adding to this over time.

A number of years ago I worked at a recording studio and that building was really cool. It was supposedly built on four or five separate foundations. The walls were double thick brick walls. I’m pretty sure a hand grenade could go off in one room and you would not feel it or hear it in any way in any of the other rooms. It was really cool..
